Meet Dolly
I am a second-generation Chinese-born Indonesian and was blessed to spend most of my youth in Melbourne, Australia; surrounded by many different cultures and ample good foods. I was lucky enough to travel around and tasted as many flavour profiles I could find and try to recreate it.
During my childhood in Jakarta, I enjoyed experimenting with food and learning traditional recipes from my family. I hope to be able to pass our Hakka-Hokkien family recipes down to future generations.
In my spare time, I love to clean, organise, decorate, and refurbish old furniture. With this simple blog, I hope to share my culture and travelling experiences through recipes, DIY tricks, dating advice and inspire others to try their best to live an eco-friendly lifestyle.
To my fellow Asian who asked; “Why Dollmestic Goddess?” A friend of mine in Melbourne once called me a Domestic Goddess which apparently means; a woman with exceptional domestic skills, who excels at cooking, baking, cleaning, decorating, (yes, even in bed!) and she makes her home a haven. I am definitely not a pro and I wish I could be! So, let’s try to be the domestic goddess together by learning and practicing!
